Roehampton University

I really like this campus, as it had a very friendly environment, there’s a good space of canteen and average food to eat on daily basis. But the best thing about this university is the newly constructed library that was launched last year september 2017. It has the best facilities.

University of Roehampton is a great, diverse university as it caters for everyone's needs. The staff that teach are all very helpful in their own ways and the facilities are very accommodating. The library is exceptionally made and it has a vast amount of space for every kind of thing you would need to do. My only one downside to the university is that the food prices are ridiculously overpriced and seeing as how we are students i think this is completely unfair on us.

Very nice staff especially in sociology department. Student union always tries the best to create a better environment for the students. The compus is very beautiful, It’s also an open campus, very green.

Roehampton is an OK university. There are many aids available: For instance, there is an abundance of resources available in terms of helping university students with writing / statistics / literature searching / studying tips. There is also an on-campus careers advisor to help current students who may be unsure of what to do. However, if you are not on main campus, you can feel a little isolated, as you are very estranged from all of the universities amenities (e.g. clubs / societies, library, beautiful campus paths, medical centre). It can be a little annoying!

The course are great at Roehampton. Also all university accommodation is on campus or very local. It's a very small university, but a very friendly uni too! There's a brand new library on main campus that is 24/7 almost all year round!

Not the best organisation and some lectures are quite dull. The library doesn't have enough computers.

Roehampton has 2 friendly colleges and always has new activities everyday. So many great food places and many hangout places. The new library is extraordanary and a place for literally everyone! It has group hangout/chill/stress free booths on the bottom floor and quiet study places going upwards. Also rooms for group work so you don't disturb people studying. It has a cafe with refreshments available all the time.

Our university may not be the best bit there's just something about it that makes it special. The curriculum is damn good and the old buildings mixed with the new make it that much better to live in. As much as I say I hate it, I love the fact that my campuses are a short walk away from eachother. Feel like I'm getting my exercise and enjoying some great views on the way. I love it's location although I thought there'd be at least one 24h off license in our vicinity, and I love that most of the things I need are a small walk away if I don't want to go to kingston or putney. Speaking of- two major places not half an hour each way and one bus to take it? Quality. Our union is pretty standard and the weekly parties were always a riot. The only thing I'd complain about is the view of the co-op from my room and the inefficiency of our security.

The university is very welcome and full of spirit amoungst the four colleges. Each college has its own unique feel which makes the university unique and in some ways very hogwarts esq. My time at Roey has been incredible from the social life of brings, to the friends I’ve made to the eduction I’ve received! Roehampton is the only campus university in London and I am very proud to be a part of it. The SU may be small but it is mighty, giving its students a fantastic sense of community with the daily events that run there. The people who run the RSU make Roehampton the most incredible place and listen to everyone’s ideas to make the university better every chance they get!

It is a beautiful campus, ranging from old and new buildings. There is a beautiful lake near the college that I am constantly on which has access all the way around it. There are swans and ducks that live on this lake as well so walking past in the summer is always a great feeling. There are a number of different areas to get food (ranging from canteen style food or pub like) as well as a lots of little stores to get drinks, sweets and other essentials. The student union are always very helpful and because I live off campus, then offered me a rep off campus and I was able to receive a free hoodie.

I only chose the university because they gave me an unconditional offer to attend. Last year (my first year), I thought that the lecturers were extremely helpful and provided plenty of guidance for assignments and would answer any queries you had, now (my second year), all of the helpful lecturers have either left of aren’t teaching us anymore. One lecturer (a senior lecturer, the module convenor) even replied to an email that I had sent him asking for assistance with a list of questions I did not understand about a report where the deadline was fast approaching, with insults claiming that I had not “been engaging” in the module and that he was “very sorry for me” without answering any of my questions that I had asked in previous emails. Also, as I am a combined honours student (Psychology and criminology) I find it very difficult to find information about my course as Psychology lecturers tell me to speak to criminology lecturers and vice versa, and there are no dedicated psy/crim lecturers to ask.

The undergraduate Criminology course was amazing but the masters courses are awful very unorganised and we are all complaining -Global Criminology and Human Rights and International Relations courses. The student union is great so many events and opportunities to volunteer etc. The library is absolutely amazing. The night life is good in that we have 3 different club nights -Grand,Fez and Bop. The careers services is pointless never been any help to me. Its just there for show in my opinion.

There's a very warm and supportive environment. Location wise, it's green, lush, idyllic yet still in London. There a good facilities on campus and it's very well connected.

The campus and facilities are beautiful, and the teaching is to a high standard, however, could benefit from more contact hours per week.

University has a lovely campus with spacious greenery and outdoor social zones. Tutors are student dedicated and additional support is available. Plenty of social events and activities, perfect for any student!
