I am a final year student in Teesside. Before studying in Teesside, I have studied 3 years in China. Compared with my Chinese stydying, Teesside is really good in assignment and feedback. And some courses are linked, like the course Entrepreneur Journalism and the course Final Project. We did a business proposal about our own website. After that, we set up a real website according to our business proposal in Final Project.

Best class I've ever taken. You work on an actual project with fellow artists, animators and game designers that is judged by a panel of games industry people with useful critiques.

i find this module helpful as the tutors are always happy to help. This module allows me and others to learn whilst making projects. Even if we pick one roll in a production we will always learn everything we needed to know and more if we needed to or asked. I get to learn about lights , the studio, cameras. Different types of cameras and how they are all diffferent and work differently.I love the module because it is very practical which is how i learn. I am always learning different things with every project sometimes it is how to work with different people or handling clients etc.

My tutor is great and If i ask for help or need some advice I will always get it. There is more than one project which means there is a variety of diferent practices in groups.

Lots repeated in counselling 2 from counselling 1.I felt that lots of what we learned, we had learned before. I really enjoyed one of the assessments which was a portfolio of our work, which was most of our grade. I received my highest grade of my course on this piece of work.

This is my favourite module as it is when we are able to put together and showcase all of the skills we've learnt in the other modules and practise real procedures that you would go through at a real crime scene.

The module content varies year by year, dictated mainly by the current cohorts requests. As a student looking to specialise in big data and NoSQL as a career, this seems a good prospect. Its not. It's more of a way to allow the course leader to dumb the module down.

Looking at designing, building and manipulating your own database in part 1, you also have to document every line of SQL you write, as well as screenshot all SSRS, AS and IS components you build for the assessment before writing circa 20,000 words.

Many students struggled with this task as the spec is incredibly broad, however, I enjoyed it nonetheless because of my interest in data. It was merely practise for my career.

Part 2 of assessments is to develop a MongoDB database. While ongoing for me, it appears much more organised. Perhaps the leaders listened to all of the many complaints.

The course offers a chance to critique and explore various counselling styles and methods, however I do not think this is the best way to approach counselling. The lack of a counselling qualification and little to no practical study makes the time spent not that useful. Especially for those who plan to go into counselling in the future.

This module is very challenging and a wonderful experience. The overall aim of this module is to improve the team work side of education and provides a lot of demanding work that is expected in the industry. Grades can not be achieved by a single student in this module. In order to achieve the best grade, the whole team must contribute and build an artificact (usually a website) with the relevant documentation, designs and even be present to client meetings wearing your smartest clothes.

If you want to be a game designer this is the course for you. I have learnt how to model in 3D using programs such as cinema 4D, learnt to write games in C# used by the unity engine. Environment building using unreal 4 and much more. The tutors are great, always want to help and make learning fun but challenging. Best decision joining this degree.
