The Cornwall campus is in a lovely location and is shared with Falmouth University's new and good facilities! Student Union is good and has lots of events throughout the year

The campus is beautiful, especially the lake; the food outlets are fantastic and have a great variety. Staff are amazing and so warm and the resources for biological sciences is second to none.

Essex university has an amazing organisation and working opportunities that can enhance your employability skills. My language course was structured in a way that allowed me to pick up multiple languages thanks to the numerous extra curricular activities available too. Campus is just amazing, very open and efficent, it allows you to meet people from other departments and so socialise more.

Essex university is okay. This year I would say it was not as good as last year. Teaching has declined in standard as have many societies, such as less events being held. I am a little disappointed if I am honest and feel my condition has not had adequate support during exam season.

I’m a second year student, so, in this approximately 14 months that I’ve spent here so far, I couldn’t be any happier. I found the best friends for life, I found different clubs and societies where I can socialise and spend my free time, the life is just amazing. There is so much responsibility but I absolutely love it! Everything is up to me and there is no one to decide about something on my behalf, compared to when living with parents... all in all, 10/10. They organise relevant events such as careers fair, and invite different guest speakers to talk about their experiences of graduating and entering the work-world. My department, Essex Business School, also organises alumni events called Successful Futures which are really helpful and useful for us, students. I like the most how interesting lecturers are, how they try so hard and put so much effort to engage us and involve us in the lecture/class. I dislike some of lecturers accents because it makes it a bit difficult to understand everything, but that’s not a big deal to be honest. I like that there is a team of lecturers and teachers that I can go to if I need help, as they are very approachable. I don't like that we have no more exams Quite boring for the average student. Not much there apart from the one or two clubs about. Lots of elderly people who probably don't like seeing students everywhere. Quite a lot of choice but most societies take place in the evenings and I wouldn’t wait all day to go to one, I wanted to do dance club but it is on my day off so I wouldn’t come in just for it nce so far Really good, made great friends and great course. There is a lot of SUpport for students. Such a friendly great atmosphere. All the staff are friendly and very helpful. I have enjoyed university a lot and learnt a lot not just academically, but about life skills in general. I feel like university is a good place to grow as an adult and an academic and Essex has let me do that perfectly. Facilities are amazing they are amazing fir sports and give athletes better chance of winning the arena and gym are incredible.

The university of Essex is a very diversed, student friendly university. However, the size of classes is a problem, the student union is okay they do try I guess

School is great but could use more well funded gathering to create a better community sense. The campus is too far from the main city for easy access.

The campus is the perfect size for everyone. Everything on Essex campus is set out perfectly with connivance stores and food outlets all close to each other. The campus has 24/7 security and is always clean every morning which is great. The facilities on campus is up to standard and openly available for everyone to use. PC labs, common rooms, and other facilities are always available no matter what time you want to be on campus. The union is great and cares about the students. There is always great events and activities created by the SU. Career services are always available with many on going events such as CV workshops, volunteering help and much more.

The university of Essex is divided into 3 campuses; Colchester (main one), Southend (health and social sciences, business and acting school). I am currently studying nursing at the Southend campus. This has been the first cohort to try out the new nursing programme. It does not appear to have been thoroughly planned out and there are many things up in the air, including assignment deadlines and holidays. It's a very small campus, feels forgotten and you don't really get to have the "uni experience".

My university is very diverse and offers so many different, exciting opportunities for all students. My university has also been especially supporting with all of my struggles this past year. My accomodation has also been especially good and I have made so many amazing friends here!

Essex is very welcoming , feels like home. It is located in lovely Colchester, with beautiful places to visit. Lectures are highly qualified academics. Student union organises plenty of events on campus and provides support and advise. There is also career centre on campus that help with CV, jobs interviews and career choices.

Love how the library is helping us on concentration and easing our worries for the coming exams. They do listen to students' opinions and try to find solutions, hoping for better services.

The university is in a beautiful calm area! The campus is surrounded by trees grass and flowers and every comfort you have around you! The campus is big including restaurants club theatre bookstore and of course a great library! My course is fascinating and my professors are of the best researchers but really down to earth and helpful. However, the department's organisation needs some improvement! Finally, with regards to the career services, i have to say they are very organized helpful and students are really actually getting informed on future projects, vacancies etc!

The campus is quite quirky, being both an architectural feat and a nightmare. That is, the main buildings are actually not on the"ground"floor. This makes it difficult to find classes and find A way out of the buildings. The sociology department is very strong, and there are a lot of international faculty which is great, and they teach with a global perspective.

Talented and reknowned industry professionals as teachers, motivating peers, each building in walking distance, lots of opportunities and graduate job offers. East 15!!

Essex has amazing student services, they support students in every aspect of uni life. Mental health and wellbeing are taken very seriously, they’ve gone above and beyond for me. The courses are good, the campus is pretty sick (lakes etc) the second year accomodation off campus is very well connected and seeing your mates is easy. Nightlife - depends on whether your smashed enough to enjoy it. Much cheaper than London in every aspect.

Nothing is very good about this Uni from its student union to its teaching staff. The building and facilities are ok but staff, students and atmosphere is beyond dissapointing.

A very isolating experience. Not much done to accommodate first years into making new friendship groups.

University was great the teachers are really well equipped however there are a few but that just seem smart but not good at teaching this is a minority though, the atmosphere is very warm and studieous a great environment to do work

I really think everything about my uni is fab. The SU provide so much for the students and really seem to support us. I came theough clearing and Essex was so helpful and supportive in making sure that it was easy, like I planned to come to take History at essex all along.

A great campus with lots of areas for socialising, eating and drinking. There’s an array of shops to get any necessary convenience purchases too. The Albert Sloman library is extensive and cool, sporting a cool open door lift and many floors. On the top floor you can see our onto the lake which is super relaxing when studying.

Huge campus with everything available. My course is actually a partnership of the Essex uni but is amazing everyone is very friendly and welcoming.

Really fun events are held regularly. And there is a strong presence of the students union which is good and makes students feel important. Campus could be nicer and departments more organised.

Southend area based. The area is perfectly located. It is right outside the train station and has lots of parking spaces with some of them offer student discounts.
