I had a great time at the University of Kent and I am glad that I chose to go here. I had some great lecturers, the campus was beautiful and the modules were diverse and interesting. It also allowed me to fulfill my dream of studying abroad with the option of doing an exchange program.

The campus in general is very good, there are plenty of restaurants, bars, and a club, The Venue, which is a popular destination for UKC students. I studied history. The course is student-oriented in the sense that you get to choose all of your modules on the three year course, apart from one in the first term of your first year. However, in second and third year it can feel as if you aren't doing anything at times. In third year in the last term, your contact hours drop to 3 hours per week, which frankly wasn't enough. There isn't much information on how your course is marked and a lot of work is essentially a trial-and-error process in finding out what your particular lecturer/seminar leader likes. Reflecting on my time at university, I would seriously consider going to another university, particularly as UKC has dropped almost 20 places in the league table in the past year.

I have just finished my second year of study at University of Kent, Medway. Studying Music means I am lucky enough to have Chatham Dockyard as my main campus, plus the Pembroke campus. On my way to lectures, I walk through one of the most inspirational places to work; I see ships, submarines, filming (Call the Midwife, Bollywood and Hollywood films) and the River Medway. The facilities are exceptional with state of the art studio spaces, cameras, audio recorders and microphones for loan and one of the longest libraries in Europe. Being surrounded by so much history means I am constantly learning about English history whilst studying. The student union (the Deep End) is run by both Kent and Greenwich universities and provides career's advice, live music, lots of societies and broadcasts football matches and late night entertainment. With Medway Park being just around the corner provides facilities for lots of the sports societies and student gym/swimming memberships.

The location is fantastic as is the campus itself, with a smallish campus everything is walkable distance and the atmosphere on campus is the most unforgettable feeling. There are many old buildings as well as recent buildings such as the new library built last year, a new law building as well as business building. The plans to expand And further develop the campus are being discussed everyday, that within a year I guarantee there will be new building works taking place to improve the already amazing campus. This is due to the increasing number of students interested in coming to Kent, but also the university’s best interests for the students, wanting to ensure their university experience is the best in terms of quality of teaching and learning. I studied law at an undergraduate level, and my course was fantastic. The teachers were very enecouring and made learning an easy and enjoyable experience. The student union have organised many things over the years, and have done a good job at listening to their students. The careers service is excellent, with frequent updates and emails of current jobs being offered, Kent do a good job at advertising job vaccines.

Beautiful campus, but an extremely underwhelming experience as a student. Library partially closed for two years with very little study space for the 20,000 students attending. Very few contact hours for an English student and very little interest from the part of the tutors to encourage students to pursue avenues that would help them progress with their careers. Disinterested on the whole as to what we’d do post-graduation.

The uni is great, I have met some wonderful people there and have definitely made some friends for life. The should host more events at the deep end as it can be dull for such a large venue

A nice campus with friendly people and different places to socialise and meet new people. The facilities are modern and there are many places to study including the library and other computer rooms throughout the campus. Student union and societies are very helpful and welcoming, especially for freshers.

The course is great, the library could be a bit bigger, career services seem good, my experience has been great, very different from what I expected but still very good, but one problem is that the on campus shop called Essentials is very overpriced and doesn’t take into account that we’re all broke students.

Love everything about my uni, adore how all of the essentials services are not too far from each other as well as how clean the study areas are.

The course is good although it’s sometimes boring. The teaching is adequate and the university strikes age affected my coursework deadlines.

I enjoyed my time living in halls, there’s different choices of accommodation to fit different needs and budgets. Constant improvements are being made to uni such as policies or even building new buildings with the latest technology. Uni nightlife is ok not as good as it used to be.

The facilities are good, always full (Eda) so I can be hard to get a computer especially during peak times but overall teachers classes campus is great

The university has a beautiful campus with bunnies everywhere and has modern facilities. The support teams at the uni are also great and very helpful.

The campus is a mix of classic and modern; construction priority has left many students confused, however. Overall, facilities are fantastic but definitely the library needs more computers and the campus needs more bins.

The University teaching is very professional, nevertheless lecturers never seem to have time to talk and are in a hurry to leave the lecture. Lecturers treat students like they are superior and university staff are simply unfriendly, especially in the registry and psychology department. Students are treated unfairly. Living on campus is nice, the facilities are great but it is managed really badly. Rooms are being checked and personal belongings taken away. When there's a real problem then nobody cares. I feel that the staff treat students like children and without any respect. The campus shop 'essentials' is way to expensive, better to go into town for your weekly shop. On campus the library is amazing though, very modern and comfortable, great place to study in peace. The campus is green and its beautiful in the summer. But the University lecturers and staff need to be friendlier and more understanding in regards to costs, documents and overall treatment. The University doesn't understand that the money is coming from the students, they take our money but give little in return! Please improve.

I liked the uni however I didn’t like the teaching style. The accommodation is really nice on campus unless you’re in Rutherford or Elliot, however the price of the campus is very very expensive. It isn’t worth it long term. Also the food in essentials is also overpriced for student therefore it’s not student friendly. The rabbits on campus are nice as well.

The university is located in the city of Canterbury. With its cathedral and old buildings, this town is picturesque and offer everything needed for a student. There is descendre selection of daylight and night life activities. The campus, just outside the city walls is beautiful and included a wide range of buildings dedicated to academic classes, students accomodation and activities. I study Politics and International Relations with Spanish at stage 1. The course so far is well structure and the classes are interesting. There is a good amount of choice for the modules, from the sovietic revolution to politics of the USA. I am enjoying every aspect of my academic life at the university of Kent. There are more than 170 societies to decided among. They are an amazing tool to socialise and make friends as well as create experience in directing and organisation if you decide to run for a committee. Every school has an employability programme and office to direct the students, and there is a programme called Employability scheme. This program is for every students, during the year we attend extra curricular activities through which we collect points. At the end of the year several opportunities are offered by the Uni such as internship, work experience according to the number of points accumulated during the past years.

the course lecturers deliver and make the lectures understandable yet interesting. The campus is clean and looks good, especially the view over the town down the hill. Good facilities, but there isn't enough room in the library during exam time or when deadlines are due.

The uni itself is really good, you’re offered a lot of support and the facilities are amazing. Socially, however, Canterbury is rather small and more of a pub scene so not great if you like big nights out. There are loads of societies to get involved in and club on campus which is fun to go to in first year as you also live onsite.

My course has been excellent planned, and often lessons intertwine across modules. The library is fantastic although the computer space gets limited as the year goes by. There needs to be more bins across campus, the buildings are fine as they are - it’s less about appearance of a classroom and more about what happens within it. The facilities for sports are limited by stretch to the outer parts of campus so that’s great. Food choice varies throughout the year but can say i’m pleased so far.

They have recently undated to library. It has a new fresh vibe, great to study in. They are currently increasing study spaces in the library. The overall feel of the campus is overwhelming at first, but you quickly get used to it and feel cozy almost. In terms of location it’s less that an 1hr from London (when you take the high speed train from st Pancras) and less than a hour away from the sea. The city is not as vaste as London, but it is still vibrant.

The campus experience is magical, I can't get enough of all the bunnies, ducks and squirrels everywhere all the time. The employability scheme is full of opportunities and get you a paid internship if you manage to get 200pts by undertaking social activities, additional modules, volunteering....And the diversity of nationalities is absolutely amazing and everywhere
