University of Sunderland

Sunderland uni has great facilities which are constantly being upgraded. The course that I am on, primary education with qts is ran well however the support from the university whilst student are on placement could be better.

I love how my program is hands on from the beginning of the course. some staff are not good but others are very invested and help students to pass

Studying Tourism Management was amazing. I gained forever friends and got so much help from the faculty. The course touched on all areas of tourism and also marketing and events. During my 3 years I also went on two unforgettable trips. One to Prague and the other to New York I will never forget them.

Amazing all round - wasn’t my first choice but I feel like fete brought me to Sunderland, wouldn’t change a thing! Extremely happy I ended up going here

Firstly, many of the tutors that I've had have been friendly with the ability to speak to students properly without patronising them. They are helpful and sharing. The facilities are good, with multiple rooms for different subjects, along with a large gym that I visit frequently. This gym comes with yearly memberships which also includes classes. The University campuses, of which there are two, are near the city centre making them very easy to locate. My courses have been well-structured and easy to follow this far. I hope this all continues onto my second year.

My experience is overall positive, howeber the st peters campus is further away and I assumed id be in the city campus. The library is good and is open most of the time, lots of places for coffee and plenty of parking spaces (although you have to pay and if you lose your permit you pay £20). The lecturers are reliable and rarely cancel slots. I was also given free public transport for a year and experience good educational connections suitable for my course.

The photography course is good but if all the materials were for free it would have been great. St. Mary's facility has everything a photographer needs - three studios, enough professional cameras and dark rooms. Some professional lecturers and it definitely will change your idea what art is in a good way.

Graphic design tutors do an excelent job. Had to move to another building which still feels more cramped than it should. Free printing would be nice as £9000 per year go in to uni.

The university has a great atmosphere on both Campus’, there is always an event on or something happening to keep the hustle and bustle going. The teaching staff are varied and have a lot of backstory which keeps them interesting and great people to lead the classes. I always feel happy to attend uni at Sunderland, in fact i’ve only missed 2 classes this whole year due to personal circumstances. The uni may not be at the top of leaderboards but with the way it is looking it sure may well be close in these next coming years.

University of Sunderland offers an amazing experience for students. The professors are amazing and well prepared, both campuses are very beautiful and dotated appropriately and the careers services are always willing to help students in finding jobs and reviewing their CVs. I am studying combined subjects, Childhood Studies&Creative Writing. The courses are very well structured and they are accessible and explained in a very good manner.

excellent university with good facilities science complex has up to date equipment, the campus is still is easy to navigate and the on-site food is cheap

The university of Sunderland is a great uni place to work.The lessons there are really good.And the teachers are well educated.I have learnt a lot while at Sunderland university and I am looking forward to learning more at Sunderland university

I love being at Sunderland University, it's perfectly situated near town, the Murray library is 24hrs and great for getting work finished outside of uni hours. I'm mainly located at the second campus at St Peters and the classrooms and lecture halls are always clean and tidy.

The campus might not be big but the hardware facilities are quite good ,especially the David Goldman building.The library is huge with loads of seating and the opening hours is quite long also the gym is really good."

The university is linked close to alot of amenities, with easy transport connections to and from the university, lots of social events weekly. The biopharmaceutical course is extremely interesting

I’m currently based on the St.Peters Campus and the facilities are great. Always clean and tidy, the computers are in high availability and equipped with the latest software, and you’re always within 5 minutes of a Costa Coffee or Starbucks. The careers service regularly sends emails and organises sessions for advice and assistance, and the course content is perfect for my needs in computing.

Needs a SU bar at city campus. Food and canteen prices are way over priced. My course should be based more around sports than regular journalism

Sunderland is a homely place where you will always have someone around to help you. The tutors are kind and the overall atmosphere is great.

University was very clean and had a large number of facilities, the gym on campus was suitable but full of fitness students. Had no experience with careers however

I went to city campus and you couldn’t fault it, it had everything you needed and the staff were so helpful

I am a first year Psychology student. Overall, I really like my experience here- the lecturers are very nice, supportive and friendly. The course is very interesting and I do not regret choosing it. The campus site is well organised (I have everything that I need on one campus so there is no need for travelling to another campus during classes) which is another plus.

Awesome, I think that this university is a warm and joyful place where tutors can support your needs. St Peters campus is beautiful.

This uni has done me a world of good, they provide amazing support and the lectures are thorough. I’ve been able to change courses without any issues and I was even supported with financial issues. There is plenty of healthy food options and there’s always space in the library. They aren’t down your throat if you miss a lecture and are big in mental health and support. Brilliant.

Really good over all. The staff are friendly and so are the students. It provides good learning opportunities and support.
