The University of Surrey

The university of surrey is a beautiful campus to go to, it is equipped with up to date technology in almost every building. Especially for my course they have provided me with the facilties needed for me to acheive success during university. What i love the most about university of surrey is the exceptional opportunities that are abailable for any student to apply for. Open lectures and planmed carrers days are all helpful. The student union within the university is very active and i myself take part in daily activities which occur on wednesdays. The university of surrey has seperate buildings staff and facilties that allow u to learn more about what kind of carreers you maybe into, or what kind of job may best suit you. My experience in university so far has been amazing and i have already gained so many skills just having been in uni for almost 1 year. Furthermore the course that i applied foe was soo populor our course was oversubscribed , which did lead to a few problems when we first started our course, ie we had lectures im the odeon cinema, which was bizzare buf interesting. Student accomadation on campus is also a very interesting to experience getting to knw new people and prgoressing in life.

Fantastic university experience overall at Surrey. Great atmosphere, lovely campus with lots of greenery, a large lake which is perfect to sit by in the summer for picnics and bbqs. Has its own club on campus which is perfect to meet people as well as the many societies and sports oppurtunities.

The university as a whole is really good, we have great facilities such as microwaves and front rooms and a spacious library. In my course we do a lot of great stuff and I have learnt soooo much already and I can’t wait for learning some more.

The campus is really modern and with a nice lake within. It is located a convient location in which I am able to get to the train station and town easily by bus or on foot. Well-facilitied library and sport park are just built for both sporty and study-type students! Sport park has its own swimming pool, gym room, activity rooms for several exercises, etc... As for the lecture theatres, most of them(I will say 95%) are new and student-friendly. I like

Surrey university is an amazing university full of wonderful people. I’ve had the pleasure of meeting really nice lecturers who have supported tremendously and are always happy to advice you when it comes to work. Also it’s location to London makes it the perfect place to go out because London is so close, which is full to the best night clubs!

Amazing campus, awesome people, great lecturing staff and quality of teaching, fantastic nightlife, close to London - perfect set up for the best years of your life!

Doing accounting and finance and until now, feeling lucky to be here! The university is really really good and the staff and students are really welcoming. The location of the campus makes it even better as town centre is about 5 minutes and central london is 30 minutes by train.

Great campus - new buildings and great landscape. Brilliant facilities (e.g. sports park). Well-structured course and well informed about all student services.

The campus is very beautiful but confusing a bit, most of the facilities are good and modern but the rest are small and old. The course is very good in terms of teaching opportunities and support The organisation I don’t know what you’re talking about The career services is very active unlike the student union

Brilliant campus, easy to get between lecture theatres quickly which are well signposted. Nights out are not the best but this is ok for me as I do not enjoy drinking. Accommodation is expensive following first year so it is important to find cheap houses early. Lots of societies available from baking to dodgeball.

Good uni, good facilities. Student support is good and location is good; easy access. Mech engineering course covers a broad range and trains students ready for work in real world. Placement schemes provide professional training in preparation.

Very supportive and caring. Beautiful campus although not very wheelchair friendly. Close to centre, Tesco’s and gym.

Campus is lovely, course is great, however I’d enjoy more revision based coursework. Services are great. Overall great uni.

Good facilities, good teaching. Course is interesting and ask expected. Lecturers are knowledgeable in their subject.

Careers services hold multiple events and talks every week to help with CVs, interviews etc. Students union trying to work with local council to increase housing opportunities for students and always holding events. Trying to raise money to get bikes for students. Campus is easy to get around. Course offers great lecturers.

The campus is very nice and the facilities are excellent, but the university is let down by the standard of teaching. Lecturers often just read off the slides and so it doesn't really feel as if you are getting your money's worth.

Recently this university has deteriorated. Students have had lectures in Guildford cinema due to lack of space. Students have had to sit on the floor in lectures due to lack of space. Personally I've had some problems with the university cancelling my student finance. Thai university is not a bad uni but I think it is going down.

Overall a great university. All the facilities you need are on campus, manor park is a 30 minute walk but it’s good to get the exercise! lecture theatres and teaching rooms are great and labs aren’t outdated, just a little crowded due to a bigger cohort this year. 10/10

My experience at University of Surrey has been a ball, lots of great people and the campus is lovely and green. Library is improving year on year.
