The layout is perfecr. Very accessible to all student, able and disabled. All the buildings and kitted out with adaquate technologies suited to the rooms. There are always plenty of computers available and a good choice of food outlets in a choice and buildings. And a good choice of vegetarian and vegan options for my friwnds. It is always clean and tidy on campus thanks to the job oppotunities and the friendly staff that work there. The career adviser could have improvement in the way information is put across anf gain more research in roles before hand of meetings. But the advise available for voluntry experiences is good.

Incredibly supportive university, so many services & bursaries on offer, alongside opportunities for development- money towards volunteering, paid projects you can get involved in, and a huge focus on equality and diversity

The staff in the Archaeology and Anthropology department are really helpful and are always there to help if you have any problems. I've had a great experience doing both a BA and an MSc.

small university but very modern. Lots of teaching rooms and great work spaces. Quiet campus but lively at night. Cannot fault anything about this uni, it’s also very historical which makes it even better!

I am a history and the medieval world student who lives on campus in West Downs Student Village. The accommodation is very good and provides everything I need. Also my course is also very good, the only downside is that on first year I had to do a couple of things I didn’t want to, such as a presentation. That being said the actual course is very interesting. The events the university has along with the societies are also very good and helpful for all students.

This uni is very good I love it here the lessons are really good and the staff are all very welcoming and friendly. I love it here and the food halls are very good value for money. Also the campus is small so it is easy to get to know your way around everywhere.

Decent uni, not the best nightlife experience but the teaching quality and standards is higher as there aren’t many students and so you get more 1-2-1 time with your tutors and a lot more help with work than you would at a larger university.

The University of Winchester campus is beautifully old, yet modern as well. The University offers many career and academic services, which is helpful to those wanting extra help. The tutors are all interesting and help you to understand the work you are given. The student union isn't as great as other universities, although sometime's it's okay-ish.

The university itself is very nicely laid out and it seems like it has been refurbished recently. The library in comparison to other university libraries I have been to is amazing. Its always clean and comfortable and the resources are good. There are also a good amount of different places to get food from. The coffee machines in the library could be improved slightly as they always seem to not be working properly or not filled. Another issue would be the student car park, don't take so many peoples applications for permits if it actually isn't possible to allocate spaces to these commuters daily. I have to get up at a ridiculously early time in the morning just to get in and get a space which is not convenient when I regularly have work the same day or I have to waste money parking in the hospital car park. this is very inconvenient seeing as I paid quite a lot of money for a permit I've actually barely used. However, to spite that my experience this year has been good and the facilities are good (apart from parking).

The university campus is small making it easily accessible for students however the size is also a downfall. There are several places to get food on campus, although the only franchise outlet onsite is quite expensive resulting in students seeking cheaper alternatives on campus where price reflects the quality of food. Two shops at the university (Main campus and West downs) both with limited capacity for stock. Only two cashpoints onsite of the whole university which are occasionally out of order meaning students have to walk into town to draw cash out for free. Good sized library with 3 floors. A vast selection of study spaces available to students located all around the university, from quiet study areas and rooms available for hiring to dicussion and more social study areas. The terrace bar is open week days however more on the pricey side considering it is a student bar. The student union is very spacious with four floors however, only two are open during SU events which limits capacity. Overall a good campus for a small university with the town centre a 15 minute walk away.

My experience at Winchester so far has been great, I’m studying Primary Education and I’m in my first year! The teaching staff are so friendly and approachable as well as being highly knowledgeable on their subject. The student services team are great, go out of their way to help you. The feel of the university in itself is good, it’s a friendly environment and I always feel safe. The only downfall I would say is the location, you have to go into Southampton for a decent night out. I’m don’t live on campus but many of my friends do and their accommodation seems great, fair size with good kitchens. Again a problem is parking on campus, you can only park if you have a permit and they do not have anywhere near enough spaces. I have to park on campus due to being a parent and needing to rush off to collect my son but if you don’t need to rush off there is a great park and ride service, students of Winchester even get a discount.

The campus is quite small but its pretty with a stunning view. I currently study events management and it is a brilliant course full with helpful lecturers and interesting modules. The student union is good for themed nights, however compared to other unis they dont have a lot of nights out and its quite quiet.

The university has a great vibe on campus and all the lecturers are great fun and always happy to help.

The campus is so lovely and they have lots of eco friendly things. They also do lots with sustainability, including recently placing down hedgehog houses and doing module audits to make sure each module contains sustainability and environmental knowledge. The careers in particular are very good! They are easy and approachable, answer very quickly and are generally very helpful. They hold lots of workshops to help with CVs and such. My course is so much better than I could have hoped for. Heather modules are well structured and contained a wide variety of modules to chose from. The lectures and staff in the faculty are so lovely. They are always willing to help and very approachable. There is also volunteering within the faculty which is great too!!

Course is very interesting, only annoying bit is when lecturers don't really listen to feedback. Campus is lovely, library is small but has plenty of resources especially if you take advantage of the online ones. Su is Ok, don't have massive deal to do with the su purely because I don't really drink so don't like clubbing.

Winchester is stated to have low crime rates and I do feel safe in the university. The campus is comprised of new and old buildings, I really like the apperance of some buildings, including some of the lecture rooms. The only downside is that some of the buildings are a bit outdated and they need room for improvement. The food is particularly nice and I really like the University's salad bar and pizza restaurant. I enjoyed my forensic studies course during the first lecture, but there were a lack of practical sessions i.e investigating mock crime scenes. There is one part that I have to point out about the halls of residence, there are not many studio flats (including kitchens) that are on offer. It would be nicer if there were more studio flats for studenta who wish to move in them. The University have their own night club and the main events held are held at the University just mainly include nightclubs that promotes drinking alcohol. I wish for there to be more fun and exciting events that do not just mainly consist of cheap University nightclub outings. On the downside, there aren't many societies in the University of Winchester, compared to other Universities in the UK and I wish there were more of them. Some of the teaching experiences are good and some are not so good, it is like a mixed bag. Overall, the University of Winchester is a nice and compact educational institution.
