Are pointless lectures that have no relation to the course and teachers who don’t know what there doing, then Brighton humanities course is for you. I’m still in my first year but I’ve had enough time to understand that the staff don’t know what they’re talking about. The the money we spend isn’t going on our education either it’s just going into building a student city campus at the opposite campus to mine so great work Brighton. It’s absymal efforts from the uni to improve your chances of being employed in the future.

Great uni but room for improvements. All the campuses are split up so there isn’t much a of a ‘campus community’ feel. Nice lecture theatres and lecturers, however the organisation of the course and the assessment can be poorly organised.

the content seems to be pretty spot on for most of the modules, but the way they are taught at times is disappointing. Some of the lecturers are very welcoming and you dont hesitate to ask questions. Some of the markings for some of the modules doesnt make sense as well.

The Environmental Hazards Degree from the University of Brighton has ended, with the final cohort of students on their way into the real world. The many other pathways of geography based module lecturing continue all complimented by extensive field studies which translate into exceptional immersive learning experiences.

The course is difficult by nature. However the tutors are very helpful and most of the times available to the students in order to provide the maximum support.
On the other side, I feel that our evaluation is very subjective and some students are favored by the tutors whilst others are undermined (F.y.i I do not refer to myself). Finally the cost of the materials and printing is enormous which I feel should definitely be included in the 9000£
( for god shake). Overall I'm very satisfied from the knowledge I acquire.

Course module review - Computer Aided Engineering and Design, 09/03/2017

Submitted by Anonymous on

For this module, you will have one lecture and one tutorial a week - usually both on a Thursday. The lecture is 1 hour long and the tutorial only 2 hours which I believe is not enough time to really grasp the module. The basics are taught well but for both the exam and the coursework, you are given complicated shapes to produce drawings and there is a big jump between what you are taught and what you are expected to do.
The time given for the coursework is plentiful and I have found the lecturers of this module to be very willing to help.

Course module review - Research in Social Work: The Dissertation, 05/03/2017

Submitted by Anonymous on

I enjoyed this module as found it interesting specializing in an area of interest to me. It made me feel like I had new expertise and informed my practice on placement. It was quite stressful finding the time to fit it in but was possible and I feel the pressure made me more productive. Some of the lectures felt a bit rushed and were slightly boring. For example about research methods, some things felt like they were being gone through for the sake of it. I had a good relationship with my dissertation tutor and felt able to ask for help when I needed it.
