Awesome nights out with many bars and clubs to choose from. Can be a tad expensive, but it is Brighton after all! Look for cheap student nights! LocTion of Brighton is amazing and a must see! The Brighton landmarks such as the pier, the pavilion and so much more! Think of a shop and 90% of the time it is there! Eating out is awesome with a variety of options from cheap dining to luxurious dining!

Brighton is an amazing place to go out, eat and shop. There’s always lots of things going on with amazing student deals throughout the week. However, the living cost in Brighton is high. It’s expensive to rent anywhere in the area which is a shame.

Brighton is perfectly sized, with events happening all the time. The nightlife is great due to the amount of students living in the city. Brighton is also close to London, as well as my home town (Hastings).

Brighton Is an amazing place. The shopping has such a wide range from vintage clothing to high street shops. The nightlife is great, especially Thursday Revenge or Haunt. It's by the beach so great in summer. Buses all day for a good price so easy to get around. Amazing range of vegan restaurants as well as plenty for meat eaters.

Brighton is quite an expensive place to live, but you pay for the amazing ambience that comes with the city. It seems that no matter what day of the week it is, there is always something to go see or do. Not only is the hustle and bustle amazing, but brighton is saturated with wonderful, socially minded and quirky people. Being the only Green Party constituency in the UK has given the city a reputation for its left leaning and environmentally conscious politics, and this is reinforced with the plethora of ethical and vegan shops and cafes all around the city.

Great nights out, festivals, bars, there’s always something to do in Brighton. The beach is pebbly but nice and clean. Wherever you live it is easy to get to town or the train station.

I enjoyed my time at my UNI doing a foundation year. I lived an hour from the uni as i was living at home so got a train everyday. The transportation was great and there were buses available to take from the station to the uni which was a less than 10 minute ride, however for £4.50 for a single it was quite expensive! so I decided to walk the 30 minute walk most days. Brighton is a lovely unique city with a great nightlife and plenty of vegan options in terms of food!

I absolutely loved Brighton as a location for being a university student as it was fun, vibrant and friendly. There was something for everyone including great shops, a huge selection of restaurants, cafes and bars as well as live music and clubs. It had a brilliant city life but also so close to the beach and country - ideal!

The Univeristy of Sussex is located in the beautiful South Downs National Park. Only a stone throw away from Brighton, the campus is in an ideal location for those who seek the campus experience, but also wish to be able to escape into city life. Whatever your interests, Brighton will be sure to fulfil your needs, from typical high street stores, to unique boutiques in the Lanes, and bars on every corner. That’s not to forget the large stretch of clubs on the seafront, and 24/7 bus transport to/from campus for those drunken, early mornings. Most importantly, however, is the strong security presence within Brighton. Due to the vast quantity of pubs, bars, and clubs, there is security on every corner, and as a consequence of this, Brighton feels incredibly safe regardless of the time of night. Overall, Brighton is a fabulously unique city, with a bohemian vibe. I would wholeheartedly recommend it to any prospective students.

Amazing metropolitan town with both a sea front and a national park nearby. Visit the lanes and look through the wacky shops or go to any of the art galleries dotted around. For those who enjoy history there are tours of the pavilion available as well as a nice museum. The restraunts and cafes are also nice with a wide variety of independent businesses active.

Nights out for students in Brighton is great. Drinks are cheap and there are a lot of places to choose from. The food places stay open pretty late and there are also nice places to go during the days too. The beach and pier provide activities for the days and the hills keep you fit

Incredibly diverse and eccentric city full of likeminded liberal people. Great transport links, bars and shopping. Always something to do whether it be going to the beach, gigs or art events.

Great nightlife where everyone it's not overcrowded and there's never any trouble as people are just out for a good time. Lots of student nights which make going out great alive for money and good fun. 24 hour buses also make it very accessable

Brighton is an incredible city and you can never get bored of it. Whether you like big clubs or quiet like bars, Brighton has it all. There are student nights on every night of the week so you can always afford it and the public transport and night busses are great. The beach is a pebble beach so it’s perfect for a stroll or to eat lunch on daily without having to stress about how you are going to get rid of all the sand. The city itself is Green Party ran so it’s eco friendly initiatives are really refreshing. The only reasons that I can’t give Brighton 5 stars is 3 small reasons. 1 - brighton uni doesn’t have an SU. 2 - trying to drive around Brighton is a nightmare, however like I said the public transport is great anyway. 3 - the closest big shopping centre is an hours drive away. Brighton has lots of shops and independent stores but for a student looking for a cheap outfit, it’s not the best.
