Brighton is a lovely area with some great views and stunning locations. I study out of the calmer campus, which is right up next to the downs and so there is a great scenery to the university. Also a short bus ride into town and everything is there. Shops, restaurants, cafes and the beach front. There are so many wonderful clubs and pubs. You will never be bored on a night out

Brighton is an incredible place to live. It has a diverse and artistic nature and culture with striking views and friendly population. As a student, Brighton is great. There are lots of higher education providers and universities in the city which makes it quite a student friendly city. Finding a job in the city is a lot easier than you would think. There is a large quantities of small businesses and franchises alike making it perfect to find a job that suits you. The nightlife is also incredibly diverse. The music played in clubs differs massively. And the music scene in Brighton is large and renowned across the country.

Brighton is a wonderfully diverse and abstract city. It's full of lots of independant businesses; shops, cafés, restaurants, and bakeries. There's never a dull moment in Brighton, events and activities are on all the time. Why not go down to the pier with friends and play in the arcade, or maybe just settle with a good book and a drink on the beach. Pubs are two to every corner in the city, and there's a large strip of clubs that runs along the beachfront to choose from on Saturday night. If instead you prefer a night out to see a new movie, then there are multiple cinemas to choose from; the Odeon - a popular complex, as well as Cineworld (which is docked on the Brighton Marina), then there's the Duke of York Picturehouse, and the Duke at Komedia Picturehouse - two independent cinemas, that also contain unusual seating arrangements including balcony seats, and sofa seats. These cinemas also allow you to bring in hot food, hot drinks, and alcoholic drinks from their restaurant/bar underneath the cinema. Festivals are a must-go; Brighton hosts the notorious Great Escape Festival, which showcases famous artists, as well as hundreds of up-and-coming singers, songwriters, and musicians, all of which perform in various pubs, clubs, churches, and streets around. The North Laines holds independent cafés and handmade shops that makes your shopping day perfectly pleasing, and if those are a bit on the pricey side for you, Chruchill Square Shopping Centre is the place to go; chain clothes and shoe shops, well known restaurants, and popular brands can be found in this shopping centre. The city's bus schedule is outstanding; there are multiple routes that cover almost all the streets in Brighton, Hove, and the surrounding area. Certain bus routes are as regular as every 2-5 mins, with others 10, 15, or 20 mins.

Brighton is an ideal location for university. It has something for everyone. If you enjoy the countryside then you have the south downs, you have the sea right on your doorstep and if you prefer the bigger cities London is only an hour away. Plus the city of Brighton has plenty to do with lots of people choosing to stay here after uni

Great to be by the sea. Especially in the summer. Busy town vastly populated by students, but most people are still really friendly.

Nice place for students who like to go out both at night and day. There is always something to do. There also lots of shops to go and spend your student loan on. Major problem is that Brighton is so expensive when it comes to getting a takeaway.

In Brighton it's easy to get from one place to another any time of day and night thanks to the constant running of buses. The town is also open till 7pm allowing you to do some late shopping if you're in class or work all day. The nightlife is spread throughout town and the seafront and is normally open till 7am giving you a full night of partying.

A variety of places to go on a night out, good for a wide array of music taste etc. Shopping is pretty varied too, from smaller independent shops to bigger chains. Pretty expensive but student events are common and offer value for money

I LOVE Brighton and couldn't be happier about living here during my studies. One of my favourite things about it is all the independent companies. There's so many indie clothes shops, restaurants and music stores which gives the city so much character. The people are extremely genuine and being near the seaside is close to home.
