The facilities are amazing. The NAB is the most beautiful building I have seen. It is a nice mix between old and modern. The professors are also very on top of the game and it's amazing to have real time research being discussed in class

A very hands off approach sort of teaching. You get what you put into it. Currently there's a lot of construction on campus so navigation is kind of a chore, also the number of study spaces are reduced as a result. The largest part of the construction should end next year so it shouldn't be too much of a problem.

Campus is inner-city London so will be spread out in a general location across various buildings. The library is very good! Multiple floors with good amount of resources to tap into. Teaching is OK across the board, some are great but there's a fair number of people who have a lot to improve on.

The campus is quite spread out, so its very inconvenient to reach from one class to other. The course is good, but super hectic, could be a little more well mamaged. Student union is quite active.

Very motivating. Surrounded by ambitious, motivated people. Teaching is good. Often not though. The level of awkwardness is quite high in the Maths Department so can be a struggle to learn.

Effectively: you'll sacrifice a good social life and your sleep will be limited as you contend with copious amounts of jargon filled reading. But you'll love it because the quality of lecturers is second to none and it's sometimes interesting...

I'm reading Law at LSE. I am vey impressed with the standard of the professors in the law department. I cannot give a single example of a professor that didn't teach or lecture to a very high standard. The career events have been very commercially directed however I appreciate their frequency and their easy access. The student union has been okay. The events they hold are not very exciting or fun and I know a lot of people who were quite dissatisfied with the Freshers week events. I like the campus. I feel like its size is nice and convenient. The food options are good but there need to be quicker and cheaper options.

Excellent institution with some of the world's leading academics. Facilities adequate and will be improved in the near future once the new buildings are constructed. Could offer more academic support.

LSE is a uni that lives up to his name. With that being said, a lot more can still be done to improve overall university life for students. Departments should listen to feedback seriously and improve on their shortcomings.

The course i do - sociology is an amazing course, its a shame that it doesnt get enough credit within the university and it is always overshadowed by other courses such as economics or management. The university has an isolating feeling too it and at times you can feel alone without having anyone to turn too. This is reinforced by the competitive nature of the university and how everyone is looking for jobs and internships to get ahead. There is support within the uni, but sometimes you feel like you cant access it.

Hard course (Economics) - Very good econ and econ history teachers - Not very good maths and statistics teachers.

The most helpful review has had a good experience and is not representative of the student population. School spirit is low and campus feels like an office rather than a welcoming environment. Student Union is inefficient e.g. take forever with room bookings. Academic advisor and Department Head (Economics) don't care about me. One of my teachers this year is too biased and voices his opinion about the school and faculty too much. The name is good that is all there is. There is hardly any support for work.

Good quality of teaching and opportunities but mentally draining. The fact that it doesn't have a campus doesn't give a feeling of community. It also has a very competitive environment which is stressful: not for weak hearted. The departments are normally very accommodating and responsive. The academic stress comes more from the type of students that are concentrated rather than the university itself. Will land you a job but at the cost of your mental health

The quality of teaching as well as facilities is world class. You really do gain a deeper understanding of your subject area whilst studying here. The careers service is also second to none, a large variety of recruitment events as well as career events are constantly being run. The careers service also offers workshops to help build up your employability. There is also a lot of volunteer opportunities. The SU is amazing, there are so many different types of societies, and you are ecoraged to start your own if none of the pre existing ones are quite right

There is a diverse range of people at the LSE making it a wonderful institution to study at. The level of teaching is to a high standard and the content taught is interesting yet challenging. The overall environment of the LSE makes one push themselves to be the best version of themselves, enabling them to become the best at what they do.

A very intellectually stimulating place to study, professors are very knowledgable and approachable. The teaching is tailored to bring content from the books, and make it applicable to the real-life world. There are lots of facilities and opportunities, such as careers fairs, to give a full insight into graduate prospects.

I honestly really think LSE is a wonderful place with many wonderful people. However, I believe that personally there could be more of a sense of community within the establishment. I firmly believe that there is a division between the students here as some are very career motivated whilst others are more go with the flowy. Thank you for reading this

Teaching in the Economics department is not too great, but class teachers are mostly good and online supplements are decent.

LSE is a really great uni to attend if you want something more than the average university experience. The central London location adds another dimension to university life, as you're in a busy city where there's a great deal of activity going on around you, meaning that you don't have to be completely engulfed by campus life if you don't want to. The university has a wealth of insanely qualified lecturers, most of whom have MAs, PhDs and/ or are accomplished writers/ experts/ economists, so you can trust their knowledge with great ease. The campus is probably the university's downfall - despite the great location, there is a great deal of development and construction work, so it can be loud and unattractive. However, the location makes up for it, and the work should be finished next year.

LSE is a really good university. Professors are always there for you, the staff is kind, and the general course is really good. I made an exchange programme there and it was an awesome experience. The readings are really new and serve the purposes of the courses. You should definitely study there.

The campus is small and far away from the dorm. So be ware when you are selecting where to live! Overall a really nice university, and great support from Professors and staffs!

My time at the London School of Economics has by no means been bad, however it has failed to live up to certain expectations I had before joining. I feel that the resources and facilities available, especially those in the statistics department, are not the best and do not match the high praise that LSE is associated with. I also found the teaching during seminars to be below par, as most teachers are masters or PhD students who probably have teaching bachelor students at the bottom of their list of priorities. As a result seminars often felt very routine and ultimately quite pointless. Of course it is not the seminar leader’s job to ensure their students are interested, but often a lack of structure meant seminars could end up in an hour of off topic talk from seminar leaders to students just waiting to leave.

You are taught by lecturers that are at the top of their respective fields and who have written the textbooks that you are working from so you are receiving a truly world class education. However, the vast majority of the work you do is independent study, you have very little contact time with tutors and the attitudes of academics towards teaching is very poor sometimes - they often prefer research than teaching and communicating with students.

Classes and teachers are top notch and will teach you to a high degree. Classrooms and buildings are beautiful outside and inside. And of course the location in central London is extremely convenient. Student union was extremely inclusive of exchange students and welcomed us into the campus organizations during our time at the uni. At the student union club nights were legitimately fun.
